POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the workshop manager, the incumbent must identify and propose correctly and proactively the appropriate solution to solve the Electric Motor (Spindle) in question.  Upon approval, they would then carry out the motor overhaul in an effective, efficient and timely manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

  • DEC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience

  • Customer driven environment

  • Technically competent analysis skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to focus / concentrate for extended periods of time

  • Resourceful and able to work with limited supervision

  • Experience in high-precision mechanics (Asset)

  • In-depth knowledge of material performance limits (Asset)

  • Bilingualism (Asset)

RESPONSABILITIES DETAILS

  • Perform visual inspection and preliminary tests to determine the

    diagnoses of the engine problem(s);

  • Disassemble the motor according to the company's quality standards;

  • Carry out measurements and tolerances of the motor;

  • Prepare the various requisitions necessary to create the estimate for the customer;

  • Perform the motor overhaul;

  • Perform final testing and run-in to ensure the engine is operating at peak   performance;

  • Perform any other related tasks requested by their immediate supervisor.
