TECHNICIAN SERVOMOTOR | ELECTRIC MOTOR

Location: 665 Rue Laurent, Granby, QC J2G 8P4 

Hours: 40 hr/week

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the workshop manager, the incumbent must identify and propose correctly and proactively the appropriate solution to solve the Electric Motor (Spindle) in question.  Upon approval, they would then carry out the motor overhaul in an effective, efficient and timely manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

  • DEC or DEP in electromechanics

  • Knowledge of electronics

  • Interest in informatics and networking

  • Ability to solve problems

  • Ability to focus / concentrate for extended periods of time

RESPONSIBILITIES DETAILS

  • Test and diagnose different types of encoders with the help of specialized equipment;

  • Perform visual inspection and preliminary engine tests;

  • Disassemble and inspect motors;

  • Measure and control critical engine components according to the company's quality standards;

  • Document their observations to allow the writing of the refurbishment submission to the customer;

  • Perform engine rebuilds;

  • Calibrate, final test and test engines;

  • Design automated systems and data acquisition systems;

  • Perform the installation and configuration of frequency inverters;

  • Perform PLC and microcontroller programming;

  • Perform any other related tasks requested by his/her immediate supervisor.
